Why I’m Asking for Your Help

Being my mom’s caregiver full-time has been the greatest responsibility of my life, but it’ has come with major financial challenges. I’ve used up my savings and resources to ensure she’s comfortable and cared for at home 24/7 since her diagnosis with late-stage Dementia a year and a half ago. Government support, as you know, is limited, and I’ve chosen to care for her myself, rather than placing her in a home with strangers whom she cannot communicate with. There are only 2 of us left, my mother and I in our family.Heartbreakingly she is soon not going to be with me any longer and the experts have asked me to begin funeral planning; the costs of fulfilling her final wish are significant.We have an estimate of $75,000 CAD for the total burial, which has been broken down.

This is more than I can manage on my own, which is why I’m asking for your support.
